Owlcrate – November 2015

Well, I wasn’t going to get anymore Owlcrates, but silly me skipped last month’s box instead of completely cancelling it – and I forgot until I received the “Your Owlcrate has been renewed!” email.  Whoops!

It was great to retry this subscription box though, especially after taking a month off to ‘cleanse my palate’ so to speak.  See what I thought of this month!

This month’s Owlcrate theme was Myths & Legends, and I’m a fan of both of those things, so I was eager to see what this box would have in store.

The first thing that caught my eye was the giant box of tea by Adiago Tea that had taken over an entire side of the box.  I am not complaining at all, because this is the best smelling tea ever.  I’m not a huge tea girl, so I’m really excited to try it out and see how I like it.

Next up was the GORGEOUS drawstring bag (custom made for Owlcrate) by The Geeky Cauldron – one of my all time favorite shops.  I was so excited to find the castle locket inside.  Unfortunately, I’m not a huge fan of magnet lockets and many of my chains have gotten tangled up in it, but it’s definitely cute!  Just not a piece I’d wear very often.

The Colorful Geek contributed with a rubber Percy Jackson themed Camp Half-Blood bracelet which was precious.  I haven’t read the series yet, but I’ll definitely be rocking that once I do.

And My Clockwork Castle (another favorite store) added in a pretty little pocket mirror perfect for any little princess (mythical or real).

Finally, the book selected for this month was Soundless by Richelle Mead.  I hadn’t heard much hype about this book but it sounds absolutely amazing and I’m so glad it included not only a bookmark but temporary tattoos as well.  I only wish for a signature but we can’t have it all, can we?

Overall I am MUCH more impressed with this box than I was the last few times I received Owlcrate.  Unfortunately, I still can’t afford this additional subscription box to the many I already receive and have officially canceled my subscription with them.  However, I definitely recommend this box to anyone seeking a beautiful, YA book-inclusive, monthly subscription box.

Good job Owlcrate!  ;D
