This was Fandom of the Month Club’s 1 year anniversary and I am so excited to be a part of it! This month featured 5 different fandoms, each selected by the owner of the box, Erin!
Super excited to share all the details of this box with you, so let’s get to it, shall we?
The collectible card this month featured the cake design that Hagrid gave Harry on his 11th birthday- such a cute idea!
And the collectible magnet that they have included the last few months featured 9 of the many fandoms we all consider ourselves to be apart of. Huge thanks to HalfBloodPrints for making that beauty!
So the first item (and my personal favorite) was the Harry Potter themed bookmark. It features the Deathly Hallows symbol, the word “Always” (if you’re in the fandom, you know how much that means!), a golden snitch and a lightning bolt. All attached to a gorgeous gold feather book insert. Definitely my absolute FAVORITE piece in this box!
Next up, the LOST themed necklace. Unfortunately, I never watched Lost, so I don’t know much about it but I did look up this scene on youtube and I teared up, not even knowing the characters. Definitely a show I’ll have to invest more time in. The necklace is a silver hand with the words “Not Penny’s Boat” engraved into it – watch the scene. You’ll die.
Next are the silver dragon earrings I’m assuming to be Eragon themed though really, any fandom that involves dragons could work for these. They’re small and dainty and lovely and these will make a great staple piece!
The Hunger Games themed keychain came just in time for Mockingjay Part 2 in theaters – such a perfect piece! The bronze Mockingjay is super sturdy and definitely looks like it’ll hold up well (and I am NOT gentle with my keys).
And finally the Tardis ring for the Doctor Who fandom! Unfortunately (as usual) this ring doesn’t fit me! It’s adjustable and though in the past I’ve been able to adjust most of the rings to be small enough to fit, this time it just won’t go any tighter (and if it does, it’s going to be sharp on the inside. Such a shame, since I am a HUGE Whovian.
Overall, 4/5 of the pieces I am a part of the Fandom while I only have to learn about 1/5, and 3/5 I will use regularly! I definitely say this was a home run for Fandom of the Month Club, especially trying to incorporate so many different fandoms.
