Bookish Box – August 2016

The August Fairy Tales Bookish Box was absolutely beautiful – so many different fairy tales were included, from classics to retellings, I don’t know where to start!

The best part about this month’s box is the fact that the items included did not pertain to just Disney fairy tales, but instead encompassed pieces from classics, Disney, and modern retellings!

The t-shirt this month by Appraising Pages featured a stunning quote from A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, the second book in a Beauty and the Beast retelling.  This tee was actually supposed to be a tank top, and the company had a small issue with the tanks.  I was sent the original tee as a hold-me-over and received the tank top separately a few weeks later.  I am over the moon to have received both and will be wearing them to death!

An adorable little acorn bell necklace was included this month, representative of Peter Pan!  This piece is so dainty, and it was also created by and for The Bookish Box exclusively!  I have worn it a few times and though people are a bit confused at first, once they realize what it is, they love it – and so do I!

Lexy Olivia has included quite a few pieces in past boxes and this month she did a stunning watercolor bookmark for the original Beauty and the Beast.  I am such a big fan of beautiful bookmarks and am pleased to add this to my collection!

I always get so excited when I hear that Evie Seo is contributing to a box and this month she did NOT disappoint!  She included a custom mug inspired by Cinder by Marissa Meyer – a retelling of Cinderella.  This mug had so many colors and details, I am so thrilled it was included and has a wonderful home on my bookshelf next to its series.

Finally, Appraising Pages also created a set of custom Disney Post-It Notes, featuring a unique quote from Walt Disney himself in the bottom corner, reading:
“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.”
I almost don’t even want to use them because I love the quote so much but I will…slowly.  When necessary.

This month’s Bookish Box was absolutely beautiful and I’m so pleased with it!  I cannot wait for next month’s Literary Ladies box and to share it with all of you!

If you’d like to sign up, be sure to head over to their site and grab one before they’re gone!
