Nerdy Post – January 2017

I was pretty much falling over when I saw that Nerdy Post was doing Star Wars for its January theme!  Check out all the details of these beautiful pieces now!

Nerdy Post has traveled to a galaxy far, far away this month by including an array of Star Wars themed art!  Yay!

The first item included was a beautiful pin that reads:
“The Force is Strong With This One.”
This beautiful quote from Darth Vader was definitely the perfect opening to the box for me and I was really looking forward to getting into the rest of it.

BB8 got a chance to shine, along with Rey’s first words when she met him.
“Where do you come from?  ….Classified, really?”
This exchange in the movie was adorable and I was really happy to have both of them together on one piece.

Trevor Sowers was the wonderful designer of the mini buttons, featuring a drawing of Greedo, “Han Shot First”, and “Koona T’chuta, Solo.”  This set was really cute and I’m hopeful they’ll consider bringing in other artists for future boxes as well – as much as I love Alexis’ artwork, it’s nice to have a few different features in each box!

The color in card this month featured a ton of droids and, of course, the Millennium Falcon!  K2SO, C3PO, and R2-D2 all got a chance to shine and I can’t wait to color them in!

Alexis tried something new this month and included a ‘fat bookmark’ which is kind of like a mini print, but kind of like a really fat, big bookmark – haha.  I truly think it’s adorable, but I don’t know where I’ll use it or if I’ll be able to find a frame for it – in my drawer of beautiful artwork I have yet to hang up it goes!  It entirely featured Han Solo on both sides, one being a humorous “That’s not how the force works.” and the second side being a more serious, “Never tell me the odds.”  Both are phenomenal choices and I love the design of each!

The regular bookmark this month featured both Yoda with one side reading “Do or do not, there is no try.” and the other side featuring Leia’s silhouette, along with “I Love You.  I Know.”  With the recent death of Carrie Fisher, I was really pleased to see her featured in the box in some way and this was perfect.

The last coaster they did was in the November Classic Reads box, but this month they included another, featuring the Death Star and the words “That’s no moon.” from Obi-Wan Kenobi.  It seems pretty durable so I’m hopeful it holds up if I decide to use it once I’m done staring at how pretty it is!

The sticker this month was also the silhouette of Darth Vader’s helmet with the word Vader written beautifully across it – definitely a perfect addition to the box!

But wait, there’s even MORE!  This is one thing I love about these Nerdy Post boxes – they’re always so full of wonderful goodies, and I’m always so surprised when I find even more in the box than I was expecting!

The mini print this month is the front side of the information card, and included the quote “Rebellions are built on hope.”  from the new Star Wars movie Rogue One.  This was one of my favorite quotes from the film and I’m thrilled to see it was incorporated.

Finally, the big poster!  The beautiful 8×10 print included the quote from Qui-Gon Jinn which read:
“Your focus determines your reality.”
This quote is short, but incredibly motivational and the hand painted effect the design she went with really highlights the impact of those words.

Overall, this box was absolutely incredible.  It included so many goodies and every single one was absolutely beautiful.  I can not say enough good things about this box, so I’ll leave you with this – please buy one!
