My Book Box – February 2017

I was so excited to receive a My Book Box for the month of February!  After seeing these boxes floating around, I could not wait to give one a try!

Opening up My Book Box, I found an explanation card which gave me a bit of insight about the monthly box, as well as some details on each of their book options from the month (including those I did not receive.  This is super nifty if you’re like me and want to get your hands on as many top reads as you can!

The next thing I grabbed was actually a bonus for reviewing a My Book Box, which was a reusable shopping bag.  This was super cute (especially to a bookworm like me), which read on one side
“If I can’t take my books, I’m not going!”
This was such a fun bonus and I love the high quality and the fact that it folds up into such a tiny little packet – great for throwing in my purse!

Next up was the actual bonus item of the month, which was a pair of adorable Jane Austen socks which I happen to adore.  I was really excited about these and think they are a beautiful and practical addition to the box.

Finally, the books.  I actually opted for the Young Adult option and the Women’s Fiction option this month so I was really excited for them both.

The Young Adult book this month was called America Street by Ibi Zoboi and is a new release that I’ve seen a ton of marketing for.  The description card describes it as ‘an evocative and powerful coming-of-age story” which gets me right away!  I’m really eager to get into this one and see what it’s all about!

The Women’s Fiction book this month was called The Orphan’s Tale by Pam Jenoff and appears to be a beautiful historical fiction story that takes place during World War II  and explores the power of friendship in a time where trust in anyone was a rarity.

Both of these books sound absolutely phenomenal and I cannot wait to dive into them both!  Looking over the brief descriptions of the other book selections for this month, I can’t imagine anyone going wrong with any of these options.

I’m so impressed with My Book Box and their book selections and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a book focused box that features some excellent selections!
